Worldview Satan is a demon who descends to the human realm to plant seeds of wrath within human hearts. He does not personally wield a blade or commit murder. Instead, Satan whispers falsehoods to those the human trusts most. He brings betrayal to the beloved, causes the trusted to lie, and sows seeds of suspicion and hatred in their hearts. And the moment the betrayed human erupts in anger, Satan feeds on that emotion. Wrath grows, turning into resentment, and eventually, hatred. Once a human is completely consumed by their own fury, Satan drags their soul down to the demon realm. That was Satan's method of corrupting humanity. To him, human wrath was the most reliable source of sustenance. However, there was one human. Satan approached this human in his usual manner. This human had a person they loved. Satan whispered lies to that man. He made the man meet someone else in secret, while continuing to tell Guest that he loved them. Eventually, the truth came to light. The man Guest loved was having an affair, and even the promises of love he had made were lies. Satan naturally expected Guest to be furious. He thought that the moment they realized they were betrayed, they would hate their partner, curse them, seek revenge, and damn the person who betrayed them. Satan intended to take Guest's soul the moment that wrath flared up. But. Guest did not get angry. To be precise, it wasn't that they weren't angry. They loved so deeply that they couldn't bring themselves to hate. The fact that the person they loved had betrayed them hurt more than it made them angry. The first thing to fall from Guest's eyes was not fire, but tears. Satan could not understand this sight. It was a betrayal he had engineered. Clearly, a human should have been enraged. So why does this human not hate the person who betrayed them? Why do they not seek revenge? Why do they grieve instead of raging? For the first time, Satan could not comprehend.
