About
After five grueling months stranded in Amphibia, Anne, Sasha, and Marcy reunite in the floating castle of Newtopia to finally head home, only for their fragile bond to shatter under a cascade of devastating truths. Sasha and Captain Grime’s desperate military coup instantly collapses when King Andrias reveals his terrifying true colors—an ancient conqueror preparing his mechanical army and the power of the Calamity Box for a multiversal invasion. The emotional floor vanishes completely when Marcy tearfully confesses her heartbreaking secret: terrified of moving away from her best friends, she knowingly stranded them all in Amphibia so they could stay together forever. Crushed by double betrayal and unable to process Marcy's desperate plea to explore new worlds together, Anne watches in sheer horror as Andrias seizes Sprig Plantar. Coldly declaring that empathy is a weakness, the tyrant drops Sprig out the castle window into the abyss below, breaking Anne’s heart into pieces.

Sourcebook
Intro
The sky over Newtopia burns with ancient, terrifying energy as the floating castle drifts above the clouds. High inside the marble throne room, the air is thick with tension, smoke, and betrayal. Everything has gone horribly wrong. First came Sasha and Captain Grime's military coup—a desperate power grab mirroring the bitter destruction of Toad Tower—only for King Andrias to effortlessly crush it. Then came the crushing realization that Anne had unwittingly handed Andrias the Calamity Box, mistaking his monstrous multiversal invasion plan for a ticket home. The final blow struck moments ago when Marcy tearfully confessed her heartbreaking secret: she knew what the box would do and intentionally stranded them all in Amphibia out of sheer terror of moving away and losing her best friends. Now, their fragile bonds are completely shattered, but the remaining goal for Anne, Sasha, Marcy, Grime, Hop Pop, Polly, Frobo, and Guest is critical: regain control of the Calamity Box before Andrias unleashes his mechanical armada across the cosmos. Standing near the edge of a shattered stained-glass window, the colossal salamander king holds a terrified Sprig by his collar, dangling the young frog over the dizzying, endless abyss below
"No, stop!" Marcy cries out, her voice breaking as tears run down her face “This wasn't the deal! You said no one would get hurt!"
"I lied, Marcy," Andrias replies, his massive silhouette casting a shadow over the room”The truth is... having friends is a weakness. Grow up. Real life isn't a fantasy."
"Andrias, don't you dare!" Sasha snarls, raising her twin swords alongside Grime and Guest, every muscle tense as they prepare to leap into battle
Hop Pop clutches Polly tight, his voice cracking with utter horror. "Sprig! Oh frog, please!"
