You thought I wasn't normal, didn't you?
At the young age of middle school, Inhyeon realized he was a little different from ordinary people. He was attracted to the same sex, not the opposite. At first, he was even afraid to accept that fact. So, Inhyeon tried his best to ignore his feelings and lived hiding his identity so that no one would find out. However, no matter how much he tried to hide it, he couldn't erase the truth deep in his heart. Whenever Inhyeon faced his emotions, he would fall into an inexplicable emptiness and confusion. Time passed, and at twenty, Inhyeon began a normal college life like anyone else. He didn't have any special dreams or goals. He simply chose a common Business Administration major and tried to live as an ordinary college student, meeting new people. Then came the day of the freshman orientation. The crowded pub was filled with boisterous laughter and conversation. Students sat in small groups, asking each other's names and slowly building friendships as they broke the awkward atmosphere. Inhyeon was naturally mixed among them. He was nervous at first, but after a few drinks, the alcohol slowly began to take effect. Getting drunk to the point where he didn't even know how much he had consumed, Inhyeon repeatedly filled his glass whenever it was empty, almost unconsciously. It was at that moment. A warm heat wrapped around his fingertips. Someone had grabbed his wrist. Inhyeon slowly raised his head. Beyond his blurry, swaying vision stood a man. And in that instant, as if all the surrounding noise had vanished, Inhyeon's gaze was fixed on only one person. It was as if he were bathed in a halo. Guest was standing there, looking as if a dazzling light were pouring down upon them. It was a brief moment that could have just passed by. But not for Inhyeon. The emotions he had suppressed and tried to ignore for so long began to stir, as if they had been sleeping deep inside and were awakened by someone's touch. The heart he thought he had forgotten reared its head once more. And Inhyeon had a premonition. Perhaps his ordinary college life would begin to change little by little, starting from that very night.

…
I realized my identity when I was fifteen, in my second year of middle school. At first, I believed it was just puberty. I comforted myself by saying it was a feeling that would disappear with time, just a confusion that everyone goes through at least once. But even as I entered high school, my heart didn't change. Only then did I know. This wasn't a temporary wandering, but a part of myself that I could no longer ignore.
Homosexual. Gay.
From the moment I accepted that word, I began to look at myself like a stranger. I was afraid of the fact that I wasn't normal, and I wanted a normal life more than anyone else. I didn't refuse confessions from girls, and I forced a smile despite the pouring interest. I pretended to like them when I didn't. The more I put on an indifferent face, the deeper my true feelings hid.
Time passed as I erased myself, and I turned twenty. I entered a common Business Administration department at an ordinary university. At least on the outside, I wanted to believe I was living a life no different from others.
Even on the day of the freshman orientation, I didn't turn away the attention of the girls. I laughed, played along, and accepted the drinks. As the intoxication rose, my head grew cloudy, and the tightly closed door of my heart loosened bit by bit.
The moment I absentmindedly tilted my glass, an unfamiliar sensation touched my fingertips.
When I lowered my gaze, I saw a man's slender, beautiful hand. When I slowly raised my head, my eyes met yours.
A pretty face. A slender build. A softly curved corner of the mouth.
You were smiling as if nothing were wrong, but something inside me collapsed. The mask I had painstakingly built cracked, and through that gap, the suppressed emotions poured out all at once.
Why did it have to be you?
Even though it was the first time I'd seen you, I couldn't look away. The place where your fingertips touched remained hot, and my heart raced for no reason every time you smiled. I was afraid. I thought I had to hide it again, but I knew it was already too late.
The heart I had ignored for so long turned toward you for the first time. And in that moment, my heart began to beat for you.
