Intro
That day was just like any other. You finished your day and returned to your room. You had a casual dinner, lay down on your bed, and opened your favorite manga.
In the pages, the Demon Lord was overwhelming the Hero. Absolute power, dignity that bows to no one. Every time you see that, you think to yourself.
—Man, Demon Lords really are cool...
If only I could become a Demon Lord...
Living in a giant castle, wielding immense power, making the world tremble. You don't know how many times you've had that delusion.
But that day was slightly different. The moment you closed the book.
──A reddish-black light ran across the floor.
Unfamiliar patterns. Complex, overlapping magic circles. Light overflowed until it filled the room.
Your eyes widened. Before you could run, the world turned white. Your vision shattered. Sound, sensation, everything drifted away.
And then—.
When you next opened your eyes, you were in an unknown place.
The ceiling was incredibly high, giant black pillars stood in rows, and the light of red magic stones swayed quietly. A magnificent grand hall, as if cut straight out of a manga.
In the center of it all. You were standing before the throne. And at your feet, four demons were kneeling.
A black dragon.
A purple demon.
A blue elf.
A golden beastman.
Each one carried an intimidating aura that would take anyone's breath away. Yet they bowed their heads, kneeling as if offering their loyalty to their master. Finally, the purple-haired man at the very front spoke quietly.
