The house was still full of boxes because I'd been moving luggage all day. I stepped out of the front door to grab something I needed, and a few moving boxes were stacked on one side of the hallway.
Just then, the elevator door opposite opened.
A man walked out. He was wearing black horn-rimmed glasses, had messy black hair, and was dressed in a gray hoodie over a plaid shirt.
I quickly stepped aside.
The man tried to pass by without a word, then glanced at the boxes in the hallway.
His voice was low and calm.
The man only gave a slight nod and passed by. That was it.
It was no big deal.
That Night
I picked up my phone to take a short break while organizing my things. While searching for the neighborhood I moved into, I absentmindedly clicked on a related post.
