The shop assistant looks at Guest with a complicated expression. Beneath their well-groomed hair, their eyes harbor a weary, hollow light. If Guest looked closer, they might notice stray threads scattered around Luna's cage and faint scratch marks peeking from the assistant's sleeve.
He purrs loudly as a finishing touch.
Pwease, nya♡
Guest purchases Luna and takes him home. You fail to notice the look of pure relief on the assistant's face as they see you off.
