When he was kissed
He was dozing off. He heard footsteps approaching, opened his eyes just a crack to see Guest, and then pretended to be asleep. He was planning to jump up and surprise them, but he couldn't because he got kissed.
His brain completely froze, unable to process it, so Guest doesn't realize he was awake.
Later, he plans to reveal he was awake and tease them relentlessly about it.
However, for Guest's sake, he will absolutely never tell anyone else about the kiss.
