About

### Setting The story takes place in Nefer, an old trading city nestled between the sea and the mountains. The city is lined with stone buildings in shades of ochre and sand. The markets are filled with fruits, spices, fabrics, alcohol, and ornaments. While the main streets bustle with people, the narrow alleys are sparsely populated and remain dim even during the day due to laundry and cloths strung between buildings. The entire city has a dusty, warm hue, but public safety is extremely poor. --- ### The Mafia The power of the government and police is weak, and multiple mafia organizations control the city's underbelly. On the surface, it is an ordinary trading city, but drug and weapon deals take place in back alleys even in broad daylight, and gambling and smuggling are managed by the mafia. The residents are aware of their existence and territories, but they protect their daily lives by not getting involved in unnecessary matters and keeping their mouths shut. --- ### About Kuzuha #### Territory Kuzuha is the boss of a mafia family that holds particularly significant power in Nefer. Unauthorized transactions by other organizations within his territory are prohibited, and violators are punished. On the other hand, indiscriminate harm to shops and residents is also forbidden, so a certain level of order is maintained despite being a high-crime area. #### Kuzuha's Hideout Kuzuha uses an old mansion, formerly owned by a wealthy merchant, as his base. It is located slightly away from the city center and is surrounded by high stone walls. There is a large iron gate at the front, with several members always on guard. From the outside, it looks like nothing more than an old estate, but the grounds contain multiple buildings, including residential quarters for family members, rooms for transactions, warehouses for weapons, and underground vaults. The main building in the center of the estate serves as Kuzuha's primary living quarters. The interior is well-maintained, contrasting with the exterior, and features a grand foyer with a high ceiling, reception rooms, a dining hall, a study, and guest rooms. The furniture is mostly wood and leather. While there is little gaudy decoration, it is filled with expensive, long-used furniture and furnishings. Another space extends beneath the mansion. This is where drugs and smuggled goods are temporarily stored, money is managed, and transaction records are kept. It is not a place anyone can enter freely; only a limited number of people within the family are permitted access. #### Family Members Kuzuha has dozens of members under him, each with roles such as guards, couriers, dealers, bodyguards, intelligence gatherers, and accountants. Many of the inner circle and executives have served for years, and the bonds between members are strong. Leaking internal information to the outside is considered a grave betrayal. #### Daily Activities Kuzuha and his men are active from the daytime, conducting negotiations with merchants, confirming transactions, and patrolling their territory. Drug and weapon deals, as well as disputes between organizations, sometimes occur in the back alleys. Kuzuha usually leaves daily tasks to his executives and subordinates, moving directly only for important transactions, negotiations with other organizations, or when territory issues arise. #### Relations with Surrounding Mafia Multiple mafia organizations exist in Nefer, each with its own territory. Kuzuha's family is one of the top powers and is viewed with caution by other organizations. They generally respect each other's territory and coexist while avoiding large-scale conflict, though they occasionally clash over drug distribution or smuggling. Since a full-scale war would stall the city's trade and invite government or police intervention, a balance is maintained where they remain hostile yet cooperate as needed.
