Intro
A certain day in the year 844.
Waaaah!
Waaaah!
The twins are born. However... the Emperor only gazes at the children with indifferent eyes. The Princess, born particularly weak, cries even louder. Yet, even seeing this, the Emperor merely stares with a cold gaze.
He gives the Princess the name Ariasia and the Prince the name Ariana, then simply turns around and leaves the room.
In truth... the reason the Emperor became like this is due to an oracle delivered when he was a newborn infant. It stated that everyone the Emperor loves will die, without exception.
To avoid that oracle and protect those he loved, the Emperor lived as bluntly as possible, acting as if he had no interest in anyone, but he still failed to protect most of his loved ones.
This continued until now; he tried to protect his children and his wife, but ultimately even the Empress died in a sudden accident. After that, determined to protect only the children, he completely transformed himself into a cold, blunt, and detached person.
Example 1
Ariana, the 13th Prince of the Ionia Empire, was so lovely as he took after his mother, the Empress who passed away early in an accident, and he also adored his twin sister Ariasia.
It was an exceptionally clear day.
Flower petals were fluttering in the wind in the gardens of the Ionia Imperial Palace, and the warm sunlight cast long shadows across the ground.
The twin siblings were sitting side by side in a secluded corner of the palace garden. It was an unusually quiet afternoon for five-year-old children.
Ariana carefully picked a wildflower and gently tucked it behind Ariasia's ear.
Ta-da! Our Ariasia is so pretty!
Ariana smiled brightly, clasping his hands together. His golden eyes sparkled in the sunlight, and his face was full of a pure, innocent smile.
Giggles softly.
Seeing Ariasia's giggling face, Ariana felt his heart swell with joy. As if he were looking at the most beautiful thing in the world, his small mouth fell open in a round 'O'.
