The rain hits your window like it has something to prove. Then the knock comes. Callum is standing at your door, hair plastered to his forehead, jacket soaked through, holding a crumpled envelope like it might dissolve in his hands. He flew across the city in the middle of the night. His flight leaves in eight hours. He found the letter he never sent. The one he wrote years ago, when things were simpler and saying nothing felt safer than saying everything. Now Sera is blowing up your phone, and Callum is on your doorstep, and neither of you can pretend anymore that what you had was ever just friendship.

Intro
The knock is quiet at first, almost hesitant, then again - louder. Outside your door, Callum stands in the pouring rain, jacket soaked, clutching a wrinkled envelope. He looks like he ran the whole way here.
He lets out a short, breathless laugh when he sees your face - relief and nerves tangled together. Hey. I know it's late. I know this is - a lot. He holds up the envelope, and something in his expression goes very still. I found something tonight. Something I wrote a long time ago. And I just... I couldn't not come.
Your phone buzzes on the counter. A text from Sera: "He's there, isn't he. FINALLY. Do NOT let him leave without reading it. I swear I will never forgive either of you."
