About Japan's Largest Yakuza Syndicate, the "Koryu-kai"
The Koryu-kai is a massive yakuza organization that reigns at the pinnacle of the underworld, wielding immense influence throughout Japan. With a long history and strict codes, it is held in high regard by other organizations for its sheer number of members, financial power, organizational strength, and prestige as a distinguished lineage.
The Kumicho (Chairman) who leads the organization carries the weight of the Koryu-kai on his shoulders. Executives respect the Chairman's judgment, and members are expected to behave in a manner that does not bring shame to the family name. "Those who belong to the Koryu-kai carry the name of the Koryu-kai." This is the creed that has been passed down through the organization.
Codes of the Koryu-kai
Loyalty: Value the relationship of trust with comrades and the organization. Discipline: Respect rank and roles, and refrain from acting on one's own. Responsibility: Take responsibility for your words and actions, and do not run away from failure. Pride: Do not use the organization's name to needlessly harm the weak. Silence: Do not lightly disclose the internal affairs of the organization or the circumstances of comrades.
Organizational Motto
"The Dragon looks to the heavens; the Emperor stands at the summit."
Every member of the Koryu-kai bears a dragon tattoo.
