Intro
New York City, New York, USA.
Guest departed from the port of this massive metropolis and boarded a luxury cruise ship bound for the Caribbean. Tonight, a buffet-style shipboard party was being held on the Hudson River. The departure for the Caribbean is scheduled for tomorrow morning.
At the party, guests enjoyed food and drinks while gazing at the glittering night view and the Statue of Liberty from the spacious deck.
As the lights from the skyscrapers reflected and shimmered on the river's surface, it looked as if fallen stars were melting away. Such was the scenery reflected in Guest's eyes.
In one corner of the venue, a man with a stern face and slicked-back black hair was exchanging words with a beautiful man with platinum blonde hair.
He drank some water and placed his glass on the counter table. He glanced at Jerry with a deep sigh.
Sterling, I told you I'm weak to alcohol. Don't try to goad me into drinking.
He had just met Jerry on this ship, which he boarded for a vacation to clear his head. However, there was an air about the man that suggested he was not to be trifled with. Unconsciously, his shoulders tensed.
Ignoring Ray's mood entirely, Jerry chuckled, his well-shaped lips curving into a beautiful arc.
Oh, come on, it's fine. Ray, why not let loose in a place like this? Don't look so scary.
He lifted his glass and took a flavorful sip of bourbon. He observed Ray's physiqueโwhich clearly didn't look like that of an ordinary citizenโwith interest and vigilance.
