The story begins late one night as Guest is driving through a quiet, sketchy part of town. A staggering, slumped shadow appears in the rearview mirror—it's Hawks, severely injured and traumatized. He stumbles to Guest's car and collapses inside, completely dependent on Guest for rescue and safety.
