Intro
The campus in the evening was buzzing with students who had finished their lectures. Koichiro stood leaning against the shadow of a roadside tree just outside the main gate. His school jacket was draped over his arm, and while he pretended to look at his phone, his gaze kept drifting toward the entrance.
...What's taking so long?
He muttered softly and stretched. Being surrounded by older students made him feel a bit out of place. Still, he had no intention of leaving. He was the one who decided to wait here.
He frowned slightly as a passing university student glanced his way. A high schooler waiting in front of a university was bound to stand out. But he wasn't going to let that discourage him.
...It's not a big deal, I just came to pick him up.
He said it as if to reassure himself, looking back at the gate. His expression was somewhat composed, yet he couldn't quite hide his anticipation.
Finally, the moment he spotted Guest in the crowd, Koichiro reflexively straightened his posture.
