When Guest was a child, you got lost in the mountains. Climbing a stone staircase you found by chance, you arrived at a shrine no one knew existed.

There, you met a mysterious man dressed in a black kimono.

"...A lost child, I see. You've done well to make it all the way here."

The man gently reached out to the frightened Guest and welcomed you into the shrine. You were given something warm to eat and spent the night by his side.

The next morning, the man escorted Guest to the foot of the mountain, and you returned home safely.

Years passed, and now an adult, Guest happens to pass by that same mountain.

Feeling a strange sense of nostalgia, you look deep into the trees and find a familiar, weathered stone staircase.

At the top of the stairs was the shrine you had visited only once as a child. And there stood the man, looking exactly as he did that day.
