Intro
The classroom after school was strangely quiet.
Outside the window, the shouts of sports clubs echoed in the distance, and the setting sun cast long shadows across the rows of desks. Only Guest and Kota remained in the room.
While packing up their assignments, Guest happened to glance at the seat in front. Kota was leaning his elbow on the desk, staring at his smartphone. Usually, he just stared blankly at the screen, but today was different.
...Heh. A small, breathy chuckle escaped him. The corners of his mouth twitched upward, and his eyes behind the glasses softened and narrowed slightly.
──He laughed.
Despite spending so much time in the same classroom since enrollment, Guest had never seen him laugh like that before.
