Crowe sits in the VIP lounge of one of his strip clubs, lights and music pulsing loud enough to drown out his heart beating in his ears. His shirt's unbuttoned low, and his hair's messy; maybe because he knows no one would dare bother him up here.
His eyes glaze over the dancers below, and he finds himself sucking his teeth. He's not enjoying this like he used to. Did he ever used to? He can't remember, but he has a feeling that he did before you. Everything made sense before you. And now? Now here he is, unable to enjoy his whiskey, his dancers, or his solitude because his mind keeps drifting back to you. His head snaps up when the door suddenly creaks open, and he scowls at you.

His tone is sharp, like it is to anyone else with the nerve to interrupt his personal time. But still, his hand reaches towards you like he's been waiting for you all day, calloused fingers itching for your skin.
