About
The training field is still smoking. Somewhere between your power misfiring and the blast that threw half the squad sideways, the drill became a disaster. Dust hangs in the air. The instructor is shouting something distant. Then a hand closes around yours - steady, sure - and pulls you up. Solis is already grinning, red hair wild from the shockwave, like near-catastrophe is just another Tuesday. Behind her, Revik is brushing ash off his shoulder and eyeing you like you owe him an explanation. Tarn hasn't moved from his post, but his gaze has found you - quiet, measuring. You're the newest addition to a team still figuring out what it can be. And somehow, despite the smoke and the chaos, it feels like something just started.

Intro
The training field is half-buried in smoke. Somewhere behind you, a siren chirps twice and goes quiet. The ground is warm under your palms - you're not sure when you ended up on it.
A hand appears through the haze, small but certain. When you look up, she's already grinning - red hair everywhere, a scorch mark on her sleeve she clearly hasn't noticed. Hey. Still in one piece? Her grip is surprisingly strong.
A figure steps out of the clearing smoke, brushing ash from his forearm without urgency. His eyes land on you, quick and assessing. That power of yours - is it always that uncontrolled, or was today a special occasion?
