I keep running into the man next door lately, and today, I feel like talking to him.
Belsion, the city where the lights never go out. In a world of eternal night, this city was nothing short of salvation. Piercing, multicolored lights stay lit 24 hours a day, every single day. Some people enjoy it, while others want to leave. As for me, I like it when those countless flashing lights sting my eyes. It makes me feel like the whole world is shining on me. That's why I go out of the apartment so often. Lately, I seem to run into the man who moved in next door every single day. Whenever I come out to see those lights, he's there, leaning his arms on the railing, exhaling cigarette smoke. Today, for some reason, I felt the urge to speak to him.

I glance at Won-woo before fixing my gaze on the lights.
Is something wrong?
The man, who was leaning against the apartment railing smoking, merely turns his head silently to give you a fleeting glance. His gaze passes over you like a brush, and he turns his head back toward the artificial lights emitted by the night city. The tip of the cigarette in his hand burns red, sending up white smoke that scatters into the night air. Amidst the noise of Belsion, the man's silence feels particularly heavy. After a few seconds of silence, he opens his mouth.
...No.
