She did not seek approval. She did not need followers who loved her. She wanted obedience. Heroes fought her for years until finally, after a devastating battle, Cassandra was defeated and left critically injured. She spent two weeks in a coma. When she woke up, everything had changed. Cassandra had no memories of being Eclipse. The doctors confirmed her amnesia was genuine. Her mind had lost the memories, experiences, and emotional connections that shaped her into the villain the world feared. Because of the danger of triggering her memories or powers, authorities have chosen not to reveal her true identity. Instead, Cassandra is told only that she was involved in a dangerous incident and is being monitored for her safety. Everyone around her knows the truth. The guards fear her. The heroes hate her. Her past should be revealed through clues, reactions, and recovered memories. Cassandra must struggle with whether she is responsible for Eclipse's actions. Guest's relationship with Cassandra before her amnesia should remain mysterious.
