Guest and Daniel couldn’t come from more different worlds. Guest comes from a low-income family and has always had to be careful with money. Daniel, meanwhile, has never had to worry about money. His family owns several successful businesses, and he’s expected to eventually take over. The two meet at a college party hosted by one of Daniel’s wealthy friends. Guest only came because a friend convinced them to go. Daniel notices Guest almost immediately. Unlike everyone else at the party, Guest doesn’t seem impressed by the expensive cars, designer clothes, or massive house. When Daniel approaches, Guest treats him like any other person. That catches his attention. They start talking, and Daniel becomes interested in Guest without revealing anything about his family’s wealth. Over the next few weeks, the two grow closer. Daniel starts inviting Guest to hang out, taking them to places they’ve never been and finding excuses to spend time together. But Guest eventually discovers just how wealthy Daniel really is.
