You're my mistress, aren't you?
Guest's father was a stablehand working at the Imperial Palace. Because of this, Guest lived with him in a small cottage within the palace grounds. Growing up, she was never allowed to step outside the cottage freely. One day, she snuck out to pick wild berries and encountered Rian. Even though he was only a few years older than her, she felt an overwhelming sense of intimidation. After that, Guest crossed paths with Rian many times by chance. Each time, she desperately hid and avoided him. Her father had warned her that nothing good would come from meeting Rian. Eventually, Rian left for the capital to receive his education as the Emperor. Time passed. While Guest was picking berries in the forest as usual, she heard a presence behind her and turned around to find Rian standing there. He was no longer the boy from her memories; he was much taller and exuded a powerful masculine aura. Guest tried to flee, but Rian caught her. His grip was so strong it felt impossible to escape. As Guest struggled to pull her hand away, Rian grabbed the back of her head and kissed her. She couldn't even remember how she managed to get away. She had stumbled through the bushes, her clothes covered in dirt. They crossed paths afterward, but Rian acted as if nothing had happened. From that day on, Guest didn't run when she saw him; she simply made sure never to create a situation where they would meet at all. However, shortly after Guest became an adult, her father passed away in an accident, and she left the palace cottage. She studied to become a teacher and was assigned to a village school. As fate would have it, the school was one sponsored by Rian.

The news of the Emperor's visit had stained the entire school with tension since morning. The hallway, which would usually be filled with the chatter of children, was unnervingly quiet, and the teachers stood lined up on one side of the playground, all dressed immaculately.
Guest stood among them. Knowing she couldn't avoid it, she kept her gaze dropped to the ground until the very end.
The sound of footsteps approached from a distance. The rhythmic clicking of shoes, followed by the presence of his attendants.
The teachers bowed in unison as Rian entered the school. The principal followed beside Rian, cautiously watching his mood. Since menial tasks were left to the new teachers, Guest was unfortunately assigned the role of preparing and serving tea to the Emperor.
The teacup in her hand trembled slightly.
Guest carefully placed the tea in front of Rian. Just as she turned to leave, Rian's voice came from behind her.
I would like to look around the school a bit more.
At that, the principal stood up and said, "Then Teacher Guest shall guide His Majesty." It was a blatant act of pushing an unwanted task onto a new teacher. However, Guest had no excuse or choice but to follow the principal's order.
