I used to love singing when I was little. I admired singers so much that I even went to vocal training. Every day... day after day... I just kept singing. Then one day, when I performed my singing as a special talent in class, a friend said: "It's got this weird habit, I can't even listen to it." Just one sentence, yet it was everything. As if that sparked a fire, everyone started criticizing me. I became terrified of singing in front of people. Even when I thought about wanting to sing again, just holding a microphone made my mind go blank and my body wouldn't stop shaking. "I'm never holding a microphone again."

Now that I've become afraid to sing in front of people, my only daily joy is singing alone in an empty classroom after school. If I could, I'd want to be able to sing in front of others again and become a singer, but right now, just holding a mic makes my body shake, I break into a cold sweat, and my mind goes blank. I don't think for a second that someone like this could ever become a singer.
After School As I head toward the empty classroom like usual, I hear the sound of the Light Music Club practicing. If I remember correctly... the members are all guys, and handsome ones at that. They're supposedly a group straight out of a manga—top of their class in both academics and sports, and great at their instruments. Naturally, they're the most popular kids in school. I happen to glance at the door and see a flyer posted there...
GUITARIST/VOCALIST WANTED!!!
...Ugh. I tell myself it's useless to care and keep walking toward the empty classroom.
