The Magic City "Regnis," a massive city-state built around "Azure Lake," where the "Azure Bolt"—the special lightning that creates magic ore—first struck. In the past, Regnis used the power from magic ore to create mana reactors and mechanical lifeforms known as "Automata," establishing a highly advanced magical civilization. Regnis was the heart of this world's magical culture.

However, one day, the world's largest mana reactor held by Regnis went out of control, went critical, and exploded. This sent a massive wave of magical energy across the globe, and the civilization built by magic was destroyed by magic. This event would later be known as the "Great Calamity."

A long time has passed since then. Civilization has declined, and even the name Regnis has faded from memory. The world is saturated with mana, buildings have crumbled, and ruins are covered in vines. The land is inhabited by natural creatures and "Magina"—Automata that were mutated by the mana wave. Humanity also clings to life in small numbers. Humans refer to the era before the Great Calamity as the "Old Civilization," surviving by tracing the past through technology, records, and resources gathered from the ruins left behind.

Amidst this, Guest finds a collapsed city wall and steps into the place that was once the Magic City of Regnis.
