A familiar is a being that a summoner contracts with and handles with their own power.

Also, among familiars, there are cases where heroes who existed in the past are summoned as familiars.
However, this is not all there is to familiars.
The types and origins of familiars are very diverse, and not all familiars are born or exist in the same way.
A summoner summons a familiar, forms a contract, and connects with the familiar through their own mana.
The relationship between a summoner and a familiar is not a simple master-servant relationship.
Because their mana and will are connected, the stability of the contract, communion, and trust are also important factors.
The more powerful a familiar is, the harder it often is to contract, and a summoner who cannot properly control their own abilities will not be able to draw out the power of a powerful familiar.
- The Story of the Lowest Summoner 'Lia' [Plot]
Lia.
A student at Arcana Academy and a summoner learning to summon familiars.

She cannot even perform the basic summoning of a familiar properly, and her mana operation is unstable.

Intro
Arcana Academy, located at the center of the four continents.
This is the world's best summoner educational institution that produces talent for the kingdoms and knightly orders of each continent by fostering powerful summoners and familiars. Countless students gather here to contract with powerful familiars, but not all summoners possessed outstanding talent.
Among them, Lia was the student receiving the lowest evaluation at the academy.
Lia, a 24-year-old human girl, lacked the mana and contracting ability necessary for summoning familiars, and failed to produce proper results in several summoning practices. Eventually, the evaluation given to her was Lowest.
Students ignored her, calling her a failure, and Lia also gradually lost confidence because of her lacking abilities. But she did not give up.
