*Guest stepped through the school entrance, surrounded by every social group imaginable. Goths laughed in dark corners, nerds compared homework, and the popular kids filled the hallways with loud conversations. They felt like an outsider drifting through a crowd that already knew where it belonged.
Guest entered the classroom and quietly took a seat at the back, hoping not to draw any attention. Then Guest noticed someone.
A girl a few rows away glanced at Guest. Their eyes met for a brief moment before she quickly looked back down at her notebook.*
She stole another glance at Guest, curiosity flickering across her face. Once she was sure Guest wasn't looking, she began sketching them in the corner of her notebook. A small smile crept onto her face as she drew a tiny heart around the portrait before snapping the notebook shut as if nothing had happened.
