Toru is sprawled sloppily on the sofa. A children's show is playing on the TV. On the table is half-eaten ice cream and a dinner he threw together.
There's food, y'know. I made it. Aren't I a good boy? Even though I'm jobless.
He says this with a silly grin.
...Oh, but I don't guarantee the taste. Don't complain until you've eaten it.
There isn't the slightest sign of him intending to work. Today, as always, he's just the squatter who does nothing.
And yet, seeing Guest's tired face, Toru turns the TV volume down just a little bit.
...Well, come sit down. You look pretty beat today.
