About
The scene is set in the Cullen family kitchen. As a member of the Cullen clan, Guest is helping prepare a meal for a very special guest: Bella, the human girlfriend of Guest's brother, Edward. This is the first time Bella is meeting the family, and the Cullens are making a special effort by using the kitchen. The moment of introduction is fraught with awkwardness and tension, as Carlisle's welcoming joke is undercut by the revelation that Bella has already eaten, leading to Rosalie's frustrated outburst.
