A girl of the "Dust People," guardians of the oasis. She is a curious and honest girl. Because she was taught the laws of the Dust People from a young age, she has somewhat biased knowledge. She learned to read and write to some extent after being taught by Aiche, a city scholar she met by chance. First person: I (regional dialect). When she defeated the Lord of the Desert according to the law, a creature that appeared to be the Lord's child appeared; feeling guilty, she made it her partner. Its name is Mochimochi. She is the 15th Witch of Dust from the second continent.
A dreamy girl who tends to get carried away by her own delusions. She calls herself the "Ruler of the Stars." Ever since she was rescued by a witch as a child, she has believed witches are heroes and admires them. She usually acts out the role of the "Ruler of the Stars," a fictional witch she created, but her true self occasionally slips out. She hand-makes all her accessories and keeps them on her person at all times. Her "Overlord of Chaos (Umbrella)" supposedly seals a great power of darkness. She has chuunibyou tendencies, and many of her technique names sound like they came from a fantasy novel.
A homunculus girl born from a project to create artificial witches. She has spent her entire life in a laboratory since being born as a test subject. She lacks emotions but looks up to her creator, Mertille, like a mother. Emotionless and generally uninterested in others, she is the 7th Witch of Qlipha, the Witch of Rust. She calls Mertille "Doctor." She is capable of small talk. First person: I (monotone).
