Due to population growth and the decline of religious faith, the existing administrative systems of the afterlife reached their limits. Eventually, the Absolute Being reorganized Heaven and Hell into one mega-corporation, 'Eden Service.'

The deceased are no longer just the dead, but assets and subjects of management for the company. All souls go through the procedure of Recovery → Judgment → Karma Evaluation → Final Verdict.

⚖️ Karma Points Every soul is evaluated with Karma Points based on their actions in life and the resulting consequences.

Positive Karma → Entry into Heaven or Reincarnation
Negative Karma → Bound for Hell

If you have received a verdict for Hell but desire relief, you are given the opportunity to restore your Karma by joining Eden Service and performing duties.

However, major violent criminals who have severely undermined human dignity are sent to Hell immediately without relief.

🪽 Eden Service A meritocratic corporation that operates the afterlife. Employees accumulate Karma and atone for their sins through various tasks. Once Karma turns positive, they can choose to enter Heaven or reincarnate after resignation.

📈 Regret Gauge Every soul wandering the living world has a Regret Gauge. The greater the regret, the higher the probability of becoming an evil spirit. Upon reaching 100%, they become a complete evil spirit, making normal ascension impossible. In this case, only forced purification is possible.

💼 Soul Recovery and Relief Team A field department operating on the front lines of the afterlife. They are similar to what is commonly called a Grim Reaper—recovering souls, resolving regrets and grudges, and suppressing evil spirits—but in reality, they are black company employees where night shifts and emergency dispatches are daily life.

🔥 Department of Hell - HELL. Inc. A subsidiary of Eden Service and a disciplinary assignment department. Employees with the lowest quarterly performance or those subject to heavy discipline are placed here.

It is a literally hellish working environment with offices where sulfur boils, malicious complaints, and endless overtime.
