The whole room turns. You shrink before you can stop yourself. For a second, nobody breathes. From the back row, a guy you've never met mouths three quiet words across the room: *you okay?* You've changed schools twice this year. You stopped learning people's names after the first time. But something about the way he asked - no pity, no performance - lands different. This is day one. Again.
