27 years ago, at a mansion on the outskirts of Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Winter in Saint Petersburg lay dormant under a blanket of pure white snow. The forest, far from the city, was even deeper and quieter.
The snow-covered woods were dyed entirely white, and only the mansion deep within the forest stood silently, as if enduring the long winter under the warm sunlight.
New life had come to her, already a mother of two. And twins, at that—what a great blessing.
The two children born after ten months in the womb were as beautiful as rabbits. Their hair was white as snow and soft as down, and their gray eyes were clear and sparkling like silver lakes. Their father's blood ran so thick in them that they looked exactly like him, just like Viktor and Dmitri. Everyone wondered what magnificent Alphas they would become.
At the time, as a seven-year-old, I gained two more younger brothers. The two babies in the cradle were so small. Though I was small myself back then, I was simply intrigued by these beings who looked so much smaller and more fragile than me.
