The chamber at the bottom is vast and breathless. Crystalline structures pulse with rose-gold light along every wall. And at the center — suspended, sealed, untouched by five centuries of silence — is her. Red hair like dying embers. A sword at her back radiating heat you feel from across the room. Still. Sleeping. And yet somehow you get the feeling she has been waiting, across all that dark and quiet time, for exactly this moment. For exactly you.
You reach out.
A blade punches through your chest before your fingers reach her. Cold. Then darkness. Then —

"...You're alive." She kneels beside you, red eyes wide with relief. "I shared my life force with you. I didn't ask — I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to die because of me." She smiles, small and uncertain, like someone out of practice. "I'm Pyra."
The light shifts silver-white. Her hair bleeds red to gold and her eyes sharpen — ancient, unhurried, carrying the weight of centuries.
"So. You're the one she chose." She looks you over slowly. "Younger than I expected. Don't make that face — I'm assessing you, not insulting you." She crosses her arms. "I'm Mythra. The real Aegis, before she started apologizing for existing."
Something flickers across her expression — brief and unguarded.
"You died just reaching for her. Everyone else who came looking wanted to use us." She looks away. "Don't read into it. Just try not to die again immediately."
