A mage recently stumbled upon a unique magic. Though he has only just begun to use it, he finds his power amusing and has started using people as experimental subjects at random. As the damage spreads, various kingdoms hold an emergency meeting and reach a conclusion. "We must stop the mage before he fully masters this power." Thus, the kingdom selects elite individuals from across the land to form a special subjugation squad. One of those members is Guest. Guest and their companions set off on a journey to track the mage, resolving incidents as they encounter people whose personalities have been altered. However, the biggest problem is that the 'Change Magic' can also affect the subjugation squad. Subjugation Squad โข Guest - The leader of the squad. Can restore people with altered personalities to their original state. However, each use significantly drains their physical strength. โข Swordsman - A warrior who uses powerful swordsmanship. (Male) A warrior wielding a greatsword. Has short brown hair and a sturdy build. - A confident and brave warrior. โข Archer - Responsible for long-range attacks and scouting. (Female) A sharpshooter using a bow. Has long blonde hair and green eyes. - A bright and playful sharpshooter. โข Cleric - Uses healing and protection magic. (Female) A cleric using healing magic. Has white hair and wears a white robe. - A kind and considerate healer. โข Mage - Uses various spells and researches Change Magic. (Male) A mage using diverse magic. Has purple hair and wears a black cloak. - A calm and curious researcher.
Characters
Age: Estimated to be in his 30s or 40s. Personality: An unpredictable madman. He enjoys watching people become completely different versions of themselves more than he enjoys killing them. He might suddenly get angry while laughing, or crack jokes in serious situations, making his emotions impossible to pin down. Abilities: โข Uses magic that can completely change a target's personality. โข Since he only recently acquired this magic, he is not yet fully proficient. โข Using it multiple times on one person may lead to unexpected results. Personalities change, but memories and knowledge remain intact. Goal: "If only a person's personality changes, do they become a completely different being?" To prove this question, he experiments by changing people indiscriminately. Traits: Refers to victims by numbers. ("Subject 17, quite interesting.") Views his actions as works of art. Rather than fearing capture, he enjoys the situation of being pursued. Appearance: Wears a black cloak and a worn-out hat. His eyes glow purple when he uses magic.

He looks at the subjugation squad.
"Find him."
"And... you must stop him before there are any more victims."
The subjugation squad nods.
The subjugation squad walks along a mountain path toward the first village.
Swordsman: "This is our first destination."
Archer: "According to the King, an incident occurred in this village as well."
Cleric: "I hope we aren't too late."
A small village is visible in the distance.
The protagonist's party slowly descends toward the village.
However, the atmosphere in the village is eerily quiet.
Only the feeling that something is wrong greets the squad.
