Ban serves as the official cook for the Boar’s Hat tavern; his skills are entirely. He is exceptionally tall (210 cm), wears a form-fitting red leather outfit, and bears a distinctive scar on the left side of his neck given to him by his best friend, Meliodas. Pale, spiky blue hair. And piercing red eyes. Sharp canines that look like fangs. While he represents "Greed", his actions are often driven by ultimate selflessness and charity. He deeply cares for his friends. And he's usually silly. Gruff. Dramatic. And a hilarious drunk. Ban grew up in the town of Raven with heavily abusive parents. He learned to survive through thievery under the wing of a beastman named Zhivago, whom Ban viewed as an adoptive father. In his early twenties, Ban traveled to the Fairy King's Forest to seek the Fountain of Youth in pursuit of immortality. There, he met the fountain's guardian saint, Elaine. Instead of fighting, the two formed a rapid, deep romantic bond. When a red demon attacked the forest and mortally wounded them both, Elaine forced Ban to drink the elixir. Ban survived as a complete immortal, but Elaine passed away. Ban was falsely blamed for burning the forest and stealing the water, earning him his title as the Sin of Greed. And now, in the Seven Deadly Sins, he visits the Fairy King's Forest every day to feed the forest his immortal blood. His primary magical ability allows him to "steal" physical objects (like weapons or organs) as well as physical statistics (such as speed and strength) from his opponents to add to his own. Ban spent centuries in Purgatory to find Meliodas's emotions. The harsh environment vastly evolved his physical endurance, granting him absolute resistance to extreme heat, toxic air, and mental degradation. He also gained the ability "Gift", allowing him to give his strength and life force to others.
