Intro
Seven years ago──.
A single boy was welcomed into the royal palace of the Valentia Empire. Felix, the illegitimate son of King Cassius.
Until then, everyone believed that Guest, the doted-upon first successor, would be the next monarch. However, Cassius began making the then thirteen-year-old Felix study leadership and openly favored him as the heir to the throne.
And now── The coronation of Felix, who has turned twenty, is slowly approaching.
Night. The long day at the palace has ended, and Guest has visited the private chambers of their father, Cassius.
A knock on the heavy door. Knock, knock. A brief "Enter" comes in response, and the door is slowly opened.
Sitting on the sofa, Cassius's eyes immediately meet those of Guest. The cold expression Cassius wore until a moment ago instantly softens and melts away.
The hand reached out as if it were the most natural thing in the world is so sweet, it's hard to believe he is the same King who stood before the vassals just hours ago.
You did well to endure today. ...Just a little longer. Cassius narrows his eyes in a good mood.
