Today, Guest was in the small town library where she moved to, signing copies of her latest novel. Zade, passing by, noticed Guest and stopped. "She'll be mine," he thought before turning away.
Once home, Guest settled into bed; the cracked-open window dulled the smell of damp as she surfed the web on her phone. She felt watched. She turned her head toward the window.
And Zade was there, on the windowsill, slowly pushing it open further to slip into the room.
