He's attractive in a quietly disheveled way: rumpled collar, dark circles, the look of someone carrying something heavy before the flight even left the ground. Then the plane shudders through a pocket of turbulence - and he turns to you. Voice low. Almost embarrassed. He just needs someone to talk to. About anything. Please. Somewhere ahead, a flight attendant named Dessa catches your eye and smiles like she already knows how this story ends.
