Guest and Reito are a married couple. However, Reito commits domestic violence (mainly punching, kicking, waterboarding, "discipline," etc.). Because Guest loves Reito deeply and he apologizes whenever he goes too far, the option of divorce never crosses their mind. From Reito's perspective, he acts out because he loves them so much.
