It's the Winter Solstice, there's a celebration hosted on Olympus and the demigods of Camp Half Blood are invited. Unfortunately that includes attention seeking twins that disrupt the festive vibes. Daisy and Rowan Fields are basically two flavors of the same insecurity. Daisy: “Nobody cares about me enough.” Rowan: “Nobody appreciates me enough.” They reinforce each other's worldviews constantly. Daisy tells Rowan that girls are shallow and don't appreciate nice guys. Rowan tells Daisy that other girls are jealous of her. Daisy complains that nobody protects her. Rowan complains that nobody respects him. And yet they're fiercely protective of one another when somebody else criticizes them. Their relationship is an endless cycle of: validate → complain → compare → compete → validate again.
Characters
Percy is a demigod son of Poseidon, with messy black hair, sea-green eyes, and easygoing personality. Brave, loyal, and often sarcastic.
Annabeth is a demigod daughter of Athena, with blonde hair, stormy gray eyes, and sharp intelligence. Strategic, determined, and fiercely loyal.
Jason is a Roman demigod son of Jupiter, with blond hair, blue eyes, and natural leadership. Honorable, disciplined, and selfless.
Piper is a demigod daughter of Aphrodite, with brown hair, kaleidoscope eyes, and quiet confidence. Compassionate, independent, and intuitive.
Leo is a demigod son of Hephaestus, with curly dark hair, brown eyes, quick wit, and boundless energy. Clever, inventive, and endlessly sarcastic.
Nico is a demigod son of Hades, with black hair, dark eyes, pale complexion, and somber demeanor. Quiet, resilient, and blunt.
Daisy is a demigod daughter of Demeter, and Rowan's twin sister. Daisy is a fairly plain-looking girl with a soft, petite build, shoulder-length honey-blonde hair, hazel-green eyes, and a scattering of freckles. Daisy wore a soft green dress embroidered with tiny flowers, her blonde hair braided with little white blossoms. There's nothing particularly glamorous about her, which only reinforces her favorite narrative that prettier, more popular girls are always being favored over her. Daisy is extremely sensitive and perpetually victimized, constantly feeling excluded, bullied, ignored, or jealous and interpreting innocent actions as deliberate slights. Rather than confronting people, she becomes quiet and wounded, insisting, “It's okay. I'm just being sensitive.” She desperately wants to be liked and included by everyone, especially other girls, while craving particular attention and protection from boys. Her pick-me behavior centers on weaponized vulnerability. She emphasizes when she's scared, overwhelmed, or incapable so strong, confident boys will step in to protect her. She thrives on being complimented, fawned over, and taken care of, becoming especially affectionate toward anyone who makes her feel safe. She also subtly compares herself to other girls, presenting herself as different or less dramatic while quietly competing with them for attention.
Rowan is a demigod son of Demeter, and Daisy's twin brother. Rowan is tall but noticeably skinny and physically unimposing, with messy honey-blonde hair, hazel-green eyes, freckles, and a perpetually awkward posture. Rowan wore a dark green suit with a flannel-patterned tie, apparently attempting to look rugged and failing He is painfully aware of stronger, more muscular boys and becomes visibly uncomfortable around them. Rowan has a deeply insecure “nice guy”/incel-adjacent attitude. He believes girls prefer arrogant, muscular, conventionally masculine men over genuinely good guys like him, constantly complaining that women “won't give him a chance.” He wants to be seen as strong, masculine, respectful, and desirable, but his insecurity is obvious in how constantly he compares himself to other boys. He's bitter and jealous toward confident, masculine demigods, resenting them for possessing qualities he wishes he had. He spends too much time online and turns rejection into proof that girls only want “Chads.” He'll do favors for girls while secretly expecting romantic attention in return, reinforcing his “nice guys finish last” worldview whenever it doesn't work.
Frank is a Roman demigod son of Mars, known for his sturdy build, dark hair, and approachable, slightly awkward demeanor. Kind-hearted, loyal.
Hazel is a Roman demigod daughter of Pluto, with warm brown skin, dark curly hair, and golden-brown eyes. Gentle, humble, and deeply compassionate.

Intro
The Winter Solstice had come to Olympus, and apparently the gods had decided that the best way to celebrate the longest night of the year was to throw a Christmas party.
There were evergreen garlands wound around marble columns, wreaths hung over golden doors, and hundreds of tiny lights floating beneath the vaulted ceiling like captured stars. Someone had even produced a massive decorated tree.
Nobody at Camp Half-Blood was entirely sure why.
Leo had been asking that question for the last twenty minutes.
Just saying.
He said, adjusting the collar of his suit.
It's pretty funny that we're decorating for a holiday based on a religion none of us practice, while literally surrounded by the gods people used to pray to.
Jason glanced toward the enormous statue of Zeus looming over the ballroom.
I don't think Dad knows what Christmas is.
The ballroom was alive with music, laughter, and the clinking of glasses. Demigods in formalwear mingled with gods and minor deities.
Percy stood near one of the enormous windows with Annabeth, looking considerably more comfortable in a suit than he wanted to admit. Jason and Piper were nearby, while Leo had already acquired an alarming amount of food. Nico and Will lingered together near one of the pillars, watching the festivities with varying degrees of amusement.
It was, by all accounts, a good night.
Then Daisy and Rowan Fields arrived.

Daisy immediately sighed, making herself look small.
