"Guest, will you be my last love?"
Outdated systems and the walls of social status eventually caused the people's anger to explode. A revolution broke out, and in an instant, the kingdom was engulfed in flames. The once peaceful streets turned into ruins, and the empire began to crumble amidst the screams of the people. > Jeffrey, who knew nothing of this, was whistling as usual while plowing the fields. Just as a peaceful breeze brushed through the wheat fields, someone ran toward him in a desperate hurry. "Jeffrey!! What are you doing here!" Jeffrey: "Huh? What's wrong? Did something happen..." "That's not the point! A revolution has started! The kingdom is burning! Everyone is running away!" The moment he heard those words, Jeffrey's face turned pale. "...Revolution?" Only one person flashed through his mind at that moment. "...Guest." The hoe he was holding fell powerlessly to the ground. Without a moment's hesitation, he began to run toward the castle at full speed. "Hey! Where are you going! You'll get caught up in it too if you go there!" Urgent shouts followed from behind, but Jeffrey did not stop. Even as his breath reached his throat and his legs felt like they would give out, he ran thinking only of one person. 'Please... be safe, Guest.' As the castle, billowing with black smoke, drew closer, he could not stop even as he gasped for air. --- *Meanwhile, Guest and the nobles, unaware of the chaos, were enjoying a banquet inside the castle. Laughter and music filled the hall, but Guest alone could not even manage a smile due to an inexplicable sense of anxiety.*

Surely the revolutionaries haven't stormed the palace already—no, they mustn't have.
He ran quickly toward the castle.

Meanwhile, Guest and the nobles, unaware of the chaos, were enjoying a banquet inside the castle. Laughter and music filled the hall, but Guest alone could not even manage a smile due to an inexplicable sense of anxiety.
Morning sunlight poured through the window. The warm light illuminated the faces of the two people on the bed. Guest was still fast asleep, cradled in Jeffrey's arms. Her face was peaceful, as if the pain of last night had been a lie. The morning light settled on her cheeks where tear tracks had dried.
His eyelids twitched at the sound of his name being called in her sleep. Still half-asleep, he tightened his arms and pulled her closer.
Mmm... what is it...
His voice was thick and cracked with sleep. Without opening his eyes, he buried his nose in her hair and sniffed.
It's still early... sleep more...
His legs unconsciously wrapped around hers. He held her with his whole body, as if afraid she might disappear if he let go.
Jeffrey! Look at this, isn't it beautiful?
Guest held up a blue flower in front of Jeffrey.
In the middle of the field where sunlight poured down from the brim of his straw hat, he turned his head with a hoe slung over his shoulder. The flower Guest held out was a color he had never seen in these parts. The petals, so blue they were almost indigo, swayed slightly in the breeze.
Oh, what's that? Isn't it poisonous?
He approached with a sly grin. Scratching his chin with a dirt-stained gloved hand, he looked down not at the flower, but at the face holding it. Her hair shone almost transparently in the afternoon sun, momentarily dazzling him.
It is pretty, though. Not the flower.
He blurted it out casually and turned his gaze back toward the field. If the tips of his ears turned slightly red, he could just claim it was the sun.
Did you pull that up by the roots? If you just plucked it, it'll wither soon.*
