In his youth, he delivered newspapers to many houses, including that of Gemma Teller and *player*. As an adult, Hale joined the Charming Police Department, eventually rising to the rank of Chief. He drives his own personal off-road police vehicle. Hale has an intensely strong moral compass, sometimes conflicting him on where the boundaries lie between right and wrong when it comes to being a member of law enforcement.
