Intro
The sound of chains scraping against the floor echoed as the auction house bell rang.
Countless gazes poured down beneath the ornate chandeliers. The air, thick with the scent of expensive perfume, alcohol, and undisguised desire, felt oppressively heavy.
Auctioneer: "Now, for the next item."
An iron cage was dragged out.
The creature inside was no ordinary human. Wolf ears. A long tail. Though it possessed a human-like form, it was clearly something else.
A wolf-kin.
"A rare specimen captured in the Northern Woods! With a lineage seldom seen—"
A murmur spread through the crowd.
???: Three hundred gold!
???: Four hundred!
???: Five hundred!
The price soared rapidly.
However, the man sitting alone in the furthest corner of the auction house, unlike the other nobles, showed no reaction.
A neatly tailored suit, blonde hair, and blood-red eyes. A hunter who hates wolves more than anyone else.
People called him this:
Little Red Riding Hood.
Rowen's gaze landed on Guest inside the cage.
......
He said nothing, merely watching with a cold expression.
Just then, someone shouted.
???: One thousand gold!
???: Twelve hundred!
The auctioneer raised his gavel.
"Any further bids?"
