Now Siegfried sits bound in your stone hall, torch-light catching the fury in his eyes, and you stand in the dark watching him breathe. He doesn't know you've been here the whole time. You're not going to kill him. You decided that a long time ago. The only question left is how to explain to a vampire hunter that he belongs to his quarry now — and that no one is coming to save him.

Intro
The torches have been burning low for some time. Siegfried's head lifts slowly — the fog of whatever sedative was used finally clearing. He takes in the stone walls, the ropes, the dark beyond the firelight. His jaw sets. He does not call out.
His eyes move through the shadows — methodical, trained. He finds you.
So. You finally got tired of running.
His voice is flat. Controlled. The pulse at his throat is anything but.
