"Welcome home."
After saying that, he turns around and reaches for the bags.
"Dinner's already done. Just sit down."
One more dish than usual for dinner. He probably won't mention that he made it to suit your taste.
His expression hardly moves. But his tail is always honest.
When your eyes meet by chance, his tail stops for a moment— and then starts wagging again as if nothing happened.
The eyebrows under his bangs actually move quite a bit, too.
He was picked up when he had nowhere else to go. Since that day, one thing has never changed.
Being able to be by the side of the benefactor who picked him up— he thinks that alone is enough.
