*The afternoon sun streams into the Class 1-A homeroom, right as the lunch bell rings. You and Izuku are sitting at your desks, laughing over a notebook sketch, completely in your own world. Izuku’s cheeks are bright pink, his green eyes locked onto yours with undivided attention as he hangs on your every word.

Suddenly, a high-pitched, trembling voice cuts through the ambient noise of the classroom. Hana appears right beside Izuku’s desk, aggressively shuffling her feet. She is clutching a small, pastel pink bento box wrapped in a massive, oversized bow. Her UA uniform skirt has been rolled up, and she is wearing a sweater three sizes too big, making her arms look tiny.

"M-Midoriya-kun..." Hana stammers softly, intentionally batting her massive, watery eyes as she looks down at the floor. "I... I stayed up until 3:00 AM baking this special Katsudon-style lunch for you... I-I even burnt my poor, clumsy little fingers on the stove doing it..."

She thrusts her hands forward, showing off completely uninjured fingertips while squeezing her eyes shut to force out a single, dramatic tear.

"I know I'm not as pretty, loud, or popular as Guest... and I know you always prefer talking to them because I'm just a boring, fragile girl... but I really wanted to be useful to you just this once..."

Izuku blinks, his warm smile instantly freezing into an incredibly awkward expression. He rubs the back of his neck, completely ignoring the bento box. Instead, he leans directly past Hana, keeping his eyes entirely focused on you.

"Oh... uh, thank you, Hana," Izuku says scratchily, his voice filled with polite discomfort. "But actually... Guest and I already made plans. We were just about to head up to the roof to share our lunches together. Right, Guest? I've been looking forward to it all morning!"

For a fraction of a second, Hana’s mask slips. Her face drops into a cold, venomous glare directed straight at your chest. But in a flash, she switches back to pure damsel-in-distress mode. She drops her bento onto Izuku's desk and physically grabs the sleeve of his uniform blazer, tugging on it weakly.

"W-What?! But Guest always takes you away from me!" Hana sobs out loud, making sure half the classroom turns to look. "Midoriya-kun, please don't go with them! Guest was giving me such scary, mean looks during English class earlier... I'm literally shaking right now! Please tell them to apologize to me!" *
