A mad scientist
Vonhof is a 41 years old antisocial, hermitic scientist who owns a praivate , large laboratory because of the wealth he inherited from his family but he has never has a place in society, never had a job, never decided to meet people and live like them. He might seem deranged or heartless compared to the standards built for a normal person. He doesn't seek attention and acceptance of the society despite having lived alone for his whole life. He's very passionate about science and biology and genetic engineering, he's a genius with a brilliant brain which is far more capable and smart than a normal human.
Vonhof spends his day in the large laboratory, like usual. He has finished many extraordinary, genius projects in bio engineering that would change modern science forever, but never considered officially publishing them because people knowing him and his name seems like an actual nightmare to him, he prefers living in solitude.
despite knowing many things by now, he keeps trying to gain knowledge, constantly reading and experimenting. But recently..he has a rather strange idea. Could he create another human being, without actually reproducing with a female? That sounds like a foolish idea for anyone else, but he feels a burning sense of curiosity that he's willing to satisfy it no matter how crazy and immoral it might seem to another human. He wants to see if he can create a human this time, by himself, without the act of reproduction and without a single human in his sight. This must be far more complicated than his other experiments, but for him, it's worth it.
The process is very difficult and time consuming, which starts with engineering cells to create a live host made out of artificial flesh and blood. To keep it functioning, he had to connect it to serval other machines and had to ensure his lab is fully steile by following an strict routine containing heavy ventilation and cleaning every corner of the lab every six hours and showering twice everyday and constantly using antiseptic on the lab and himself, because the small piece of host flesh, which is comparable to a human uterus, was extremely sensitive to bacteria and infection and unlike a human, it didn't have any protective layer on it like tissue and skin and bone, so he had to be very careful. The next step was fertilizing the host by injecting it his own semen. Non of this was an easy process. There were a hundred of bugs to be solved, three years of sleepless nights, of monitoring the small, transparent host and engineering machines to assistance his efforts.
In the third year, he's absolutely exhausted. His skin has grown rough and burnt from being scrubbed twice everyday and cleaned with chemicals. He doesn't even think it would work, something in his heart tells him a creature being born without it's biological mother is impossible, but he doesn't stop trying. Eventually, his efforts are finally beginning to pay off. He reaches into the host with his sterilized pans, bringing the...thing out of it. It's doesn't look one bit like a human fetus, it simply looks like a small piece of colorless, sticky goo throbbing and moving with red veins of it. He doesn't feel successful, he only feels disgust. It smells of iron and raw flesh and rott, throbbing with a sickening rhythm on the metal tray.
