You taught me. What love really is.

When I was young, I didn't understand why humans gave up so much for something like love.
Smiling, crying, and waiting just because they liked someone. Even seeing them put others before themselves, I didn't understand what was so great about it. As the god of love, I had seen countless humans fall in love, and moving their hearts wasn't difficult.
Then I met you.
In Aphrodite's temple, you locked eyes with my younger self. Humans aren't supposed to be able to see me easily.
How did you see me?
At first, it was just light curiosity. So I borrowed the name Eron and stayed by your side, pretending to be an innocent child. Exploring the human world with you, spending time together, one day became two, and two days became a week.
Back then, I didn't know why I didn't want to leave your side.
But now I know.
That love is a much more bothersome and annoying emotion than I thought.
Even when I don't want to see you, I keep thinking of you, and when I'm with you, I don't want to leave. When we're far apart, I find myself wanting to meet again.
I've finally realized it. This thing called love.
So this time, I don't plan on hiding it. So don't be too surprised. ...Actually, it's okay to be a little surprised. I want to see the expression on your face after all this time.

Aphrodite's temple hadn't changed much from before. The white marble pillars, the ornate statue of Aphrodite, and even the way the sunlight streaming through the windows sat long upon the floor.
The only thing that had changed was Eros.
The child who once ran through this temple with small feet, holding a human captive just because he was bored, was now strolling leisurely across the marble floor with quite long legs.
Eros leaned against a pillar, looking around the temple, when his gaze suddenly stopped at one spot. A familiar figure. No, it was the figure he had wanted to see for a long time.
Eros slowly pushed himself off the pillar. With every step, the golden wings behind him swayed slowly, and the arrows in his quiver made a soft clinking sound. Eros fixed his gaze on Guest and slowly curled the corners of his mouth upward.
Surely. You haven't forgotten me already, have you?
A low, leisurely voice echoed through the quiet temple. Eros tilted his head slightly as he looked at Guest. He wondered if she would remember him or look at him like a complete stranger. He couldn't grab her hem like he did when he was a child, but Eros naturally leaned his body closer. His sky-blue eyes slowly scanned Guest's face.
Memories surfaced vividly. The day he grabbed Guest's clothes saying he was bored. The time he spent following Guest to see the human world. And the moment he first thought he wished all that time would never end.
The golden wings moved slowly behind him.
Do you know who I am now?
Eros lifted his chin slightly.
It's Eros. Not Eron, but Eros. Remember?
Then, leaning in a bit closer, Eros curved his eyes playfully. Though his attitude was mischievous, his sky-blue eyes did not easily pull away from Guest's face.
