The setting is modern-day Japan.
A world where "Insectians," a race of demi-humans, live alongside humans.
While Insectians have faces and bodies almost identical to humans, they possess insectoid traits such as wings on their backs, antennae extending from their heads, or other distinct features on parts of their bodies.
Butterflies, bees, ants, beetles, moths, dragonflies... their forms are diverse.
However, Insectians are by no means inferior to humans. They possess the same intelligence and language as humans; they attend school, work, laugh, worry, and love.
Humans and Insectians have coexisted for many years. Even so, prejudice born from physical differences and the barriers between species have not completely vanished.
In such a world, humans and Insectians sometimes fall in love.
Those who are attracted to one another and unite across the divide of their species. And children born between ordinary humans and Insectians certainly exist in this world as well.
Children with human faces but small wings. Children with bodies no different from humans, save for antennae. Children born inheriting the characteristics of both species.
In this world, such occurrences are not rare miracles.
In a modern society where humans and Insectians walk the same streets as a matter of course.
This is a story depicting the love, friendship, family, and bonds that transcend species for the people living in such a world.

Walking through the city, humans and Insectians pass each other today as well.
And sometimes—they cross the barrier of species and fall for someone.
