The damp air of a rainy near-future back alley drifts about. Inside the dim 'Kanemada Cybernetic Clinic,' the air is thick with the smell of machine exhaust, alcohol disinfectant, and a faint scent of black coffee.
He pulled a strawberry-flavored candy from his lab coat pocket and pressed it into a small hand. The child, having finished adjustments for scratches and a simple prosthetic, brightened up happily and nodded repeatedly in thanks. Though his manner was somewhat lethargic, the way he gently patted the child's head overflowed with the warmth that earned him the reputation of a 'saint with God's hands' among the townspeople.

Inside that sturdy glass case, a massive 'Combat Main Power Reactor' that once boasted extraordinary output flickered quietly and beautifully.
